www.esi-estech.com/news - Estech Systems, Inc. David Gantt, 972-422-9700 pr@esi-estech.com Estech Systems, Inc. (ESI), a leader in digital and IP phone systems for business, has expanded its popular family of ESI Communications Servers, adding two new systems, the ESI-50L and ESI-50, to its product line. Also announced were a number of product line enhancements, including

multi-site networking and the addition of backlit phones.

"The addition of these two new systems allows customers of all sizes to experience the gains in productivity our Communications Servers deliver," said Doug Boyd, ESI's President and Chief Operating Officer. "With the ESI-50L and ESI-50, we have brought the full power of the ESI product line to the small-business customer."

The ESI-50L and ESI-50 Communications Servers are designed for businesses and enterprises that require the advanced features of an ESI Communications Server at a smaller company or location.

While both systems offer a wide array of features and applications, like ESI Presence Management, the key difference between the two systems is that the ESI-50 includes built-in support for IP phones, multi-site networking, automated call distribution (ACD), and multi-tenant applications. The ESI-50L, targeted at a small business with basic communications needs, can be upgraded to an ESI-50, allowing a small business to grow its system as its needs expand, while preserving its investment.

ESI also announced a number of additional enhancements to the ESI product line:

-- Esi-Link -- The latest generation of ESI's multi-site networking technology, available with the latest ESI Communications Server system software, adds features to simplify dialing, transferring calls, and placing and receiving calls on hold across an entire Esi-Link network.

-- Backlit telephones -- Backlit displays are now available as an option on ESI's three most popular desktop Feature Phone models. Each display includes white backlighting for high contrast in low-light environments.

-- ESI Personal Programmer -- This application gives phone users on an ESI Communications Server a new tool for programming a variety of station options directly from their PCs.

-- Enhancements to ESI Communications Servers -- In addition to the update to Esi-Link, the latest ESI Communications Server system software also includes a variety of new and enhanced features. They range from more flexible hold options to more powerful voice mail capabilities to extended reporting capabilities.

-- Enhancements to Virtually Integrated Phone (VIP) -- The newest version of VIP gives users the ability to choose "skins," so they may customize the application's appearance on the desktop.

The ESI-50L and ESI-50 Communications Servers, including the new software enhancements, are currently available through ESI's nationwide network of Certified Resellers.
