Marilyn Monroe's legacy on April 14th was being tainted with mocking headlines of the worst nature because of false claims that in addition to being a busy starlet on the big screen, that she was involved without her knowledge in a smaller scale pornographic production. And these ridiculous reports said how smiling and happy she looked while she was doing this. The most slanderous adjectives were misused by journalists from major news sources to describe this sex tape and Marilyn Monroe. But the one that we would use to describe the whole scenario was ‘fishy'. Mark Bellinghaus, Ernest Cunningham and I quickly teamed up with Defamer.com being the first reporting outlet to debunk this story on April 15th. Soon our article was reported on, questioned, analyzed, syndicated and supported, and now has reached over 98,000 views on the original article alone. And over two weeks following the release of our story, MSNBC has come to light again with a very comprehensive report including confirmation from the FBI that the Marilyn Monroe sex tape does not exist in their files.

The latest report begins here, now confirming that the FBI has done an extensive manual search of their files and no such tape exists: deepbackground.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/05/01/969700.aspx . MSNBC further reports that the FBI has never even had a film within their files that has been the talk of the internet since the initial web of lies began to

spin on April 14th
www.nypost.com/seven/04142008/news/regionalnews/hard_core_marily .. . The New York Post was the first to report it, which swept the wave of controversy around the world.

Dan Abrams from MSNBC had some initial questions which made the interviewee noticeably squirm in his seat. Next was our report in which we were asked to be guest writers for Defamer, and our story immediately and unexpectedly blindsided the person who made the mistake of trying to defame the greatest American legend defamer.com/380219/exclusive-debunking-the-marilyn-monroe-sex-ta .. . We set about a wave of change which straightened out the journalism pool, which had a lot to learn about Marilyn Monroe. Other agencies followed including Radar Magazine's report, written by Tyler Grey, a journalist who refreshingly bypasses the gullible factor in any press of his that we've read, especially on this researched report: www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2008/04/marilyn-monroe-keya-morga ... Despite the newer reports and findings, even a few days ago and the same day as the MSNBC expose regarding the FBI findings, news sources were still reporting that the tape existed.

The LA Times initially took bets as to how long the sex tape would take to hit the internet, with pipe dreams that there might even be an opportunity to get a glance at the tape that never was: latimesblogs.latimes.com/webscout/2008/04/how-long-till-m.html . While jumping on the wagon of speculation and supporting this story, they started to criticize our article no less than 24 hours after we released it: latimesblogs.latimes.com/webscout/2008/04/defamers-bunk-1.html , which this news agency later described that their remarks against our very groundbreaking article could otherwise be defined as 'having fun' latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2008/04/hey-ny-post---i.html . Certain commentators on the one article wrote off the article's sarcasm as simply feeling some sour grapes for having missed their opportunity to have initiated a debunking, and Defamer Editor Mark Graham even stopped by to comment and thank the L.A. Times for their coverage. Now all bets must be off from the LA Times as to when the tape is going to be released, since the LA Times in their next move challenged The New York Post to open their mouths. As Mark Bellinghaus noted, all differences aside, we couldn't agree more: www.pr-inside.com/marilyn-monroe-sex-tape-hoax-los-angeles-times .. and we're all still waiting for the initial response from The New York Post. However there are other things that we disagree with when it comes to the integrity of this whole story and the cast of characters that generated it, advocated it and even now still state that the tape exists and the entire transaction took place : latimesblog.wordpress.com/2008/04/24/keyarash-mazhari-32-aka-key ..

As we speak, more evidence has been pouring in and we have been contacted with further details. We are planning on a follow up story as well with elements that we have been provided regarding this whole case, which go above and beyond the report which MSNBC had released on May 1. Controversy swirls like a cyclone around all aspects of this story and items will continue to be reported by Mark Bellinghaus, Ernest W. Cunningham and I as they become available to us.

But one thing is clear: Marilyn Monroe's legacy has been successfully defended again by immediate action against these painful lies.
