ALWAYSON NAMES 2008 ONHOLLYWOOD 100 AND OVERALL WINNER ILIKE; HONORS NEW ''BEST UP & COMING COMPANY'' USTREAM.TV

AlwaysOn today announced its coveted OnHollywood 100 Top Private Companies and named leading social music discovery service iLike as the AlwaysOn OnHollywood Overall Winner. A new award for "Best Up & Coming Company," highlighting an emerging technology pioneer, went to internet broadcast platform Ustream.TV. iLike, Ustream and the rest of the OnHollywood 100 will be honored at the OnHollywood & BRiM event on June 10-11, 2008 at the Sofitel Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

"We are proud to present our top honors to iLike after seeing the magnitude of the company's presence online and the scope of their business," said Tony Perkins, founder and CEO of AlwaysOn. "iLike represents the best of the digital entertainment industry, showcasing how technology combined with music can make a profound impact on the ways entertainment is consumed, shared and discovered."

As one of the most widely used social networking applications, iLike has redefined online music discovery. Twin brothers Ali Partovi (CEO of iLike) and Hadi Partovi (President of iLike) seized the opportunity to build a transformative music application on the Facebook(R) platform, which quickly became the dominant music service on Facebook. They then went on to build number one ranked music applications on leading social networks worldwide, demonstrating that iLike is one of the most successful and quickly growing applications in social networking today. iLike, which began as indie music site Garageband.com, is now poised to play an important role in the reinvention of the music industry.

"We appreciate AlwaysOn's recognition," said Ali Partovi, CEO of iLike. "We're excited about the momentum we've experienced. We now have more than 27 million users who have enjoyed recent high profile content exclusives from leading artists across multiple genres of music. We look forward to continuing to help fans and artists connect online in innovative and fun ways."

A new award for "Best Up & Coming Company" highlighting the most innovative, emerging company on the horizon. "Ustream is a company that the editorial team is very much impressed by," said Perkins. "Their service has been adopted quickly by technology leaders as well as business leaders, showing its versatility, reliability, and potential."

Ustream provides an online venue for a variety of new shows and events, produced live and in mid-to-long form formats, moving away from YouTube snacking to real viewing online. This rapidly growing Internet broadcasting network boasts millions of viewers and hundreds of thousands of broadcasters and contributors, offering a shared space for entertainment innovation. Ustream promotes new hybrid content types as well as new independent shows, producing a pool of talent and creativity eager to be both enjoyed and discovered.

"We're honored to be named as the first OnHollywood 'Best Up & Coming Company,'" said John Ham, Ustream founder. "In the year since our launch, we have hosted everyone from Presidential candidates and Hollywood entertainers to Fortune 50 CEOs, parents, grandparents and even the Dalai Lama, and our continued growth shows the significant impact live broadcasting has on the way people use the Web to connect and interact. We're committed to continuing to build the Web's most innovative media platform, and we thank AlwaysOn for its important recognition and support."

AlwaysOn editors compiled the third annual elite OnHollywood 100 list with assistance from KPMG's emerging business practice, KPMG VC Practice. Together more than 500 venture investors, investment bankers, and technology insiders were surveyed, who then nominated hundreds of companies to determine the OnHollywood 100 winners. Companies demonstrating significant market traction and game-changing technology in the following sectors were selected to be part of the OnHollywood 100: Consumer Services, Content Delivery Platforms, Digital Content Publishers, Enabling Tools and Mobile. All innovators in their given technology sectors, each of the OnHollywood 100 winners demonstrated leadership among their peers in the following areas: innovation, market opportunity, commercialization, media buzz, and stakeholder value creation.
